About Me
Over the last 8-10 years, I have gained a lot of experience by getting involved with my local theatre’s, amateur/professional societies and local hire companies. I have also assisted on many festivals, corporate events, theatre shows and concerts, working for companies far and wide. To date, I have been lucky enough to work with some great companies such as Cuffe & Taylor (now part of Live Nation), Brightlites Uk Ltd, Guild Hall Production Services, Congo Design’s, ArranPaul Audio, Lakin McCarthy and LMS WorldWide Ltd. My main experience is with lighting, using and rigging both Conventional and Intelligent fixtures. I am a very confident Avolites programmer and operator with the ability to use any Avolites console from their range, running Classic or Titan software, whether that be cue stacking or busking a show. I do however, have some basic knowledge on some ETC, Chamsys, Zero 88 and Strand consoles. While in the main my experience is with lighting, I have rigged and operated basic sound on many occasions. I have also assisted with warehouse duties such as prepping and servicing moving lights etc. Recently, I have also assisted with rigging and the making of hanging points in various venues and festival stages. I have now been touring for a few years, in which my duties have involved running and relighting the shows, rigging basic AV and constructing the sets. I have experience in both the theatre and rock and roll world. In theatre i design, program and operate many shows a year, from musicals to plays and even pantomimes varying from amateur to professional shows. In the rock and roll world, i have done many one nighters requiring the show to be busked. I also sit on a one nighter full time when touring and i am used to the fast pace life on the road.
